The difference between the Taycan and the Taycan 4S is quite large: roughly $ 24,000 (the 4S starts in MSRP at $ 103,800 and $ 109,370 with the larger battery).

The EPA scope and energy efficiency numbers were not disclosed.

Here are some things we know:

  • Standard: Taycan Aero 19-inch wheels, six-piston front brakes, four-piston rear brakes (different wheel color (metallic silver) and calipers (black) compared to the 4S – red tweezers and polished alloy wheels with black high-gloss spoke)
  • The Porsche Active Suspension Management System, a typical Porsche sports car, is standard. This function adjusts the dampers to accommodate the ride from soft driving for comfortable off-road cruising to stiffness for a track or mountain road. For maximum flexibility, the suspension setup can be controlled independently via the touch screen, dashboard button, or in conjunction with powertrain calibration via the touch screen or the optional steering wheel-mounted mode dial. Adaptive air suspension can be ordered as an option.

The company says the RWD Taycan is the most powerful standard model Porsche has ever made.

“Even in rear-wheel drive design, the Taycan still expresses all the performance traits of its powerful siblings. With a drag coefficient of just 0.24, it remains the most aerodynamically efficient Porsche (when fitted with the optional air suspension), dropping to 0.22). The low-rolling Taycan has a center of gravity inferior to any road legal Porsche.
