Victory Brewing caught fire in Kennett Square, Chester County

Kennett Square, Pennsylvania (WPVI) – Dozens of firefighters rushed to the scene in Chester County, Pennsylvania after a fire destroyed the brewery and apartment complex above Monday night.

It happened in a building housing Victory Brewing and several apartments located in Building 600 of West Cypress Street in Kennett Square.

The call came around 6:30 PM to start a fire and reports of a loud explosion.

„Suddenly the building opened and a fireball went out from the corner,” said a man who saw the fire broke out.

Helicopter 6 was at the scene after firefighters put out the flames.

According to a Victory Brewing spokesperson, there was an explosion near the sitting room.

„ Tonight, at around 6:30 p.m., an explosion and fire occurred at Building 600 of W Cyprus St in the building where the Victory Brewing Company – Kennett Square taps room is located. Our storage room is closed for business today, so there are no clients or Team members „were in the building at the time of the accident,” chief marketing officer Derek Detenber said.

No injuries have been reported.

PECO crews on site. At this time, 55 customers are without power due to the accident.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
